A Journey of a 1000 Miles Begins with the 1st step

Dear Oprah...
This first step I take involves a homage to you--Oprah.  I want to express how you and your show have inspired me throughout my life.   You have provided to us, your fans, tools, if used, to lead lives full of love, laughter, enlightenment and accomplishment.  This year, I want to use these tools to help me accomplish a goal I have struggled to attain my entire life: to lead a healthy, active, meaningful life.  I have struggled my entire life with my weight and my personal self-image.  I am tired of this struggle.  I am ready to raise the white flag and surrender to the universe, to GOD and ask for help.  In that moment, I thought I need to start a blog to keep me motivated but it can't just be another blog I forget about a month after I start it--it needs to be something more, something different to keep my accountable. But what?     Then I thought about you and my ah ha moment occurred--my blog needs to be entitled "Letters to Oprah."  Why?  I am hoping that by making my myself accountable to you, I will maintain the level of motivation needed to follow through.  I intend to write to you weekly about something that has inspired me to keep trekking to take that next step, and then the next step, and then the next step, and the next step and...  How many steps does it take to reach a thousand miles?  I don't know but I am about to find out.  The picture below is of me taken on Dec. 15, 2011.  In a year from today the picture I take of me will be of me taken after stepping a 1000 miles.

Yours truly,
A heatlhy, vibrant, active, and sexy Cher
